Mr. Whitman possesses over 45 years of experience in the environmental and construction sectors, accomplishing a comprehensive background in the critical partnership between business, government and the community as a whole. Mr. Whitman served a total of 13 years as Mayor, Council President and Councilman in the Borough of Milltown NJ, while simultaneously steering numerous family-owned corporations, as the dedicated Owner/Director. Mr. Whitman has been instrumental in many groundbreaking projects, both international and domestic, that have delivered sustainable solutions. He was an integral part of winning the contract that allowed Edgeboro International, Inc. to build and operate the first sanitary landfill in Northern Africa, located in Fes, Morocco. Mr. Whitman is also responsible for obtaining US Trade and Development Agency Grants, which allowed for the successful completion of the “Feasibility Study for the Development of a Solid Waste Master Plan” for the cities of Fes, Morocco and Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Jack has over 25 years of project development experience including renewable energy production, construction and asset management operational activities. He has extensive knowledgeon executing successful client negotiations as well as managing all aspects of projects including construction, containment, operation and maintenance of Landfill/Brownfield and Renewable Energy facilities. Jack has been an essential part of the team on numerous innovative, environmentally-conscious projects in the landfill, renewable energy and Brownfield industries.
Howard has over 40 years of experience with Anaerobic Digestion (“AD”) ranging from redeveloping closed sites, provided technical sipport and guiding day to day operations of varying AD technologies, throughout the United States. In most cases, these AD projects included gas to pipeline and nutrient recovery systems. Howard has led Caribbean and other overseas development activities, to implement local sustainable waste and power solutions. These solutions range from Waste to Energy, AD, pyrolysis/gasification, solar PV, hybrid systems, and systems that identify underutilized feedstocks, and integrate those solutions to better address the needs of the Municipality’s.
An Internationally recognised Commercial Director, with 30 years experience in the Waste Management sectors in the UK, Western Europe, Central/South Eastern Europe, South Africa and Mexico. Contracted, designed and installed over 200MW of LFG Power Generation Projects, also negotiating the PPAs in these various locations, each with widely differing legal frameworks. Curriculum also includes Anaerobic Digestion projects using food waste and arable feed stocks, Coalbed and Coalmine Methane Gas utilisation projects, Distributed Generation / Natural Gas CHP. Business / Strategic Planning and a active member of the International Solid Waste Association, Institution of Civil Engineers(London) and the Energy Institute(London).
